Shop for Groceries and Make a Difference in a Child's Life

LAUP is pleased to announce a partnership with Ralphs and Food 4 Less supermarkets, which have made us one of the grocery chains' official charities. This means the public will now be able to directly support LAUP through the supermarket chains' Community Contributions program, by simply shopping for groceries.

However, we need your action to help us make the greatest impact on children's lives.

LAUP will receive generous support from Ralphs and Food 4 Less when individuals, such as you, designate LAUP as the charitable organization they would like the supermarket chains to support. This is a simple and easy way to support LAUP, and to help us provide high-quality preschool to children across Los Angeles County while not spending any additional money!

Ralphs and Food 4 Less will make quarterly contributions to LAUP when supporters, providers, parents and others link their Ralphs and Food 4 Less Rewards cards to LAUP. If you're not already participating in the Ralphs or Food 4 Less Rewards card program, you may sign up for one. Beginning on Thursday, Sept, 1, you may sign-up to participate. To link your Ralphs and Food 4 Less Rewards card to LAUP, please visit the websites, www.ralphs.com or www.food4less.com and sign in or create a new online account. Once you're signed in, click on "Ralphs Rewards" or "Food 4 Less Rewards," then Community Contributions. After that, go to "Enroll," fill in the requested information, and use LAUP's organizational code, 93179, to designate LAUP as your charity.

Ralphs and Food 4 Less will contribute between 1 percent and 4 percent of a person's quarterly purchases, depending on how much money is spent each month. If you don't have a Ralphs or Food 4 Less Rewards card, please consider signing up for one at your nearest location.

And, participation in the program will not interfere with your individual Ralphs and Food 4 Less rewards! Your individual rewards are awarded to you and your household while Community Contributions are for your favorite charitable organization. Even though both programs are based on your purchases and linked to your Ralphs and Food 4 Less reward cards, the two programs are unrelated to each other.
