What is RENEW Los Angeles County?
RENEW Los Angeles County is made possible by funding from the Department of Health and Human Services through the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. There are multiple RENEW projects across the county focusing on making healthy lifestyle options accessible for our communities. The LAUP Project RENEW is focused on working with preschool providers to promote healthy choices for four-year old children.
What Should I Expect?
Partnering sites will work with the LAUP RENEW Project Team to review their site's policies and nutrition and physical activity practices. Participating sites will receive specialized training and coaching aimed at improving the quality of program delivery in nutrition and physical activity throughout nine months (July 2011 through March 2012).
Benefits of Participating:
- Fun and interactive specialized training and coaching focused on program delivery in physical activity and nutrition.
- Site-tested, ready-to-use resources adaptable to indoor and outdoor learning environments.
- Strategies to help keep you and your staff motivated.
- Certificate of Participation.
As you can see, this is a worthwhile project, and LAUP encourages you to participate.
