Dr. Darline Robles, Superintendent of Schools, Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) has been selected as one of the 100 most influential Hispanics in Education by Hispanic Business Magazine.

Dr. Celia C. Ayala, COO of LAUP, received the same recognition in 2008.

Since 2002, Dr. Robles - a board member since 2005 - has led LACOE, which is the nation's largest regional education service agency. She oversees 80 school districts and some 1.7 million students. Throughout her 30-year career, she has focused on ensuring quality education for all children.

“We are truly proud to have someone as dedicated to children’s education as Dr. Robles serve on our Board, because of her extensive knowledge on the subject and her vast experience as an educator,” said Dr. Gary Mangiofico, CEO of LAUP.
