FY13 Budget and Narrative Submissions due May 31, 2012
May 16th, 2012 by lazoyFY13 Budgets and Narratives are due on Thursday, May 31st, 2012. Please submit your FY13 Budget and Narrative using the template(s) that was (were) emailed to you in April. Note that reports not received in a timely or complete manner will result in June and future payments being held until all fiscal reporting requirements have been met.
Please submit an electronic copy to fiscalreports@laup.net and fax a signed copy to 213-416-1290.
If you are an FCC provider using QuickBooks, please submit your budget using the QuickBooks software.

Dodger Day is August 4, 2012

The Los Angeles Dodgers will host the Chicago Cubs and proceeds from every ticket sold through LAUP will be used to fund high-quality preschool. Can an evening of fun with family and friends at Dodger Stadium be a game changer? For our kids, YOU BET!

Pack #13: 1,2,3…Count With Me!
The packs were created to assist providers in developing and implementing intentional and meaningful language and literacy activities in their classrooms as a result of the Teacher Institute. Each pack contains 1 Big Book and 2 small books, 1 week of lesson plans including strategies from the Teacher Institute (Read Aloud, Shared Reading and Interactive Writing) and resources for additional lesson planning.

April 18th, 2012 by ahimmelWe are very excited to announce our upcoming Teacher Institute Learning Communities in April and May! The 2 hour meetings are an opportunity for Teacher Institute participants to continue discussing the strategies and concepts discussed at this year’s Institute and share ideas to implement in their classrooms.
Participants who attended all 3 days of the series may attend with up to 2 of their co-teachers.

ASPIRE Stipend Program for 2012-2013
April 12th, 2012 by bkleinmanASPIRE is starting recruitment for the 2012-13 program year. The purpose of the ASPIRE Stipend Program is to encourage early childhood educators working in Los Angeles County to complete both training on the CLASS and college coursework in order to be prepared to offer a high quality learning experience for the young children in their care. Participants who have successfully met the requirements receive a stipend of at least $1,000 in the late summer.
Both LAUP and non-LAUP teachers are eligible. If you have interested teachers, they should submit a Stipend Interest Form by May 1, 2012 to be considered for the 2012-13 ASPIRE Stipend Program. Interest Forms are now available on the LAUP website at www.laup.net/aspire
- Those Stipend Interest Forms received will be entered into a drawing for the open spaces in the program and will be notified if they are selected to apply in July.
- Current participants do not need to submit the Stipend Interest form. They are given the opportunity to re-enroll in June.
Provider Network Meeting- March 28, 2012 Recap
April 4th, 2012 by jkim-beroThank you to all that attended the March 28 Provider Network Meeting! Nearly 200 Providers attended the event held in Lakewood. During this meeting, LAUP staff provided important information about Legal, Compliance, Quality policy updates, Advancement updates, and general LAUP Updates. There also was a Regional Team Networking opportunity in the afternoon. Click here for more information.
