High-quality preschool programs often have an attedance policy to ensure parents are aware of your expectations and are encouraged to bring their child to school every day!  Although LAUP does not require our providers to have a written policy it is certain a best practice we would encourage.

LAUP Resources to Boost and Maintain Attendance

End of Year Attendance Certificate - Award your children and families for their excellent Year to Date attendance by presenting them with a certificate.  Click here to download a writeable and printable certificate template.

Parent Workbook- These workbooks include a section on the importance of attendance; you can use this workbook and create an activity for parents to get stamps from you when their child is at school every day during that month. Click here to see the Attendance Page of the workbook.

Monthly Attendance Certificates- Celebrate students and families who attend regularly with the monthly attendance certificate. Download the certificate and insert the names of students who have 'perfect' attendance onto the leaves. Then print out and display in a prominent place.
